The mule deer shown above was harvested with a bow on video by Jeff Miller in South Dakota on September 28th, 2009. This incredible mule deer, along with five other big mule deer bucks were located in a brushy draw between an alfalfa field and a small pond. Jeff and his cameraman positioned themselves in between the feild and small pond. After a long chess match with this monarch, Jeff was able to draw on him and make a well placed shot. The deer went approximately 100 yards and tipped over. This monster mule deer scores 203 4/8" gross. The whitetail shown above was harvested with a rifle by Tom Soule in South Dakota on November 23, 2009. This big mature whitetail was spotted along a dry creek bottom. Tom and his guide were actually in pursuit of another big whitetail, when this big fella made his presence known. This deer was squaring off with another big buck and was paying no attention to the hunters approaching. Tom was able to cut the distance to his target by half, which put him at just over 450 yards. Tom's .257 Weatherby rang out and hit his target, right behind the shoulder. This beautiful whitetail scores 156" gross.
